Begin your tour at the meeting point or your accommodation in Porto city center, depending on the tour option you select. Then, travel with your driver to the Arouca UNESCO Global Geopark. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and prepare for the bridge crossing.

After a welcome and safety briefing, get ready for the most exciting 516 meters of your life on the 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge, one of the longest suspension pedestrian bridges in the world, suspended by Tibetan-style steel cables 175 meters above the River Paiva and Aguieiras Waterfall.

Feel as though you’re walking in the air, immersing yourself in an imposing landscape of wild and stunning nature. If you want a more laid-back experience, you can be transferred to the other side of the bridge in a 4x4 to meet the rest of the group there.

Once on the other side of the bridge, set off on the Paiva Walkways, an 8-kilometer wooden walkway built along the cliffs of the Paiva River Gorge. Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints to snap photos and see the famous zig-zag staircases, riparian forests, waterfalls, and gorge cliffs.

Halfway through, take a break at Vau River Beach and restore your energy with traditional snacks, juice, and fresh fruits. From here to the end of the trail, get closer to the river and sense the strength of the rapids through their roaring sounds.

After the hike, rest and relax at a beautiful Paiva River beach in Espiunca, a scenic riverside village. You'll be hungry, so tour options with an included lunch are available. If you select a lunch option, savor a board of typical Portuguese charcuterie and cheese (or only cheese, if you prefer) and a drink of your desire (including wine) to start your meal.

Then, choose between an Arouquesa steak sandwich, Arouquesa beefburger, veggie burger, or tuna sandwich, all accompanied by crispy french fries, for your main course. For dessert, taste an ancient conventual pastry next to its origin, the Arouca's Santa Maria Monastery, and enjoy some coffee.

Later, return to your starting point for drop-off.
