A guided tour with a unique "Tukxi" in which you will wind up the hills of Funchal to the famous Village of Monte. Once here you can experience its church, gardens and famous toboggan ride.
Settled in your "Tukxi" (tuk-tuk taxi) with a local guide at the helm, your tour will begin with a drive up the hills of Funchal to the famous Village of Monte and to its famous Church, gardens and toboggan ride.
On the way up the hill you will be able to appreciate some fantastic views over the city, and once up in the village of Monte, the guide will take you through the gardens to the famous 19th Century Church of “Our Lady of Monte”. Information about the village history will be provided along with some amazing photo opportunities.
You can also experience the famous toboggan ride (paid separately). Your Tukxi driver will meet you at the end of your toboggan ride, at which point you will journey comfortably back to your point of origin.

Pick Up information: Available for free in hotels/accommodations in the Funchal City area.
Harbor Pick Up Add-On: An additional service for those being picked up from their cruise ship. Select 1 Add-on for each group in the "Order summary." Example: If the booking is "2 x Group up to 3," select 2 "Harbor pick up" Add-ons. If it is "1 x Group up to 3," select 1 "Harbor pick up" Add-on.
Purpose of the Add-On: Covers pick-up fees (5€ per group) imposed by Funchal's port authority.
