Embark on a canyoning adventure in São Miguel, exploring streams and waterfalls while immersing yourself in the island's untouched natural beauty—an exciting way to experience the Azores up close.
SALGA EXPLORER (Half Day Tour)

The activity takes place in Lomba de São Pedro, on the north coast of São Miguel, about 45 minutes from Ponta Delgada. Upon arrival at the site, we will begin by distributing the necessary equipment, followed by a short 10-minute hike to the first stop, where we will conduct the safety briefing.

During the activity, you will have the opportunity to enjoy several jumps ranging from 2 to 4 meters in height (all optional), two rappels of 10 and 14 meters, and the chance to try a zipline.

The experience ends with a 30-minute hike back to the starting point, offering an unforgettable adventure and a unique connection with the wild nature of São Miguel.


SALGA ADVENTURE (Full Day Tour)

The adventure takes place in Ribeira das Coelhas, in the parish of Salga, approximately 50 minutes by car from the city of Ponta Delgada.

Upon arrival at the site, we will distribute the necessary equipment and then begin a 20-minute hike to the entrance of the stream, where the first safety briefing will be conducted.

Throughout the route, you will have the opportunity to perform optional jumps ranging from 2 to 6 meters in height, as well as rappels varying between 4 and 20 meters. Before each rappel, our guides will provide a practical demonstration to ensure everyone feels prepared and confident for the experience.

The adventure ends with a 30-minute ascent back to the starting point, offering an unforgettable journey through the stunning nature of São Miguel.

NOTE:

– The exact itinerary including jumps, abseils and other techniques will depend on local conditions and seasons. The terrain, landscape and flow of the stream normally change throughout the year.

However, you don’t need to know how to swim. Your health and safety is of utmost importance, so this tour is not recommend for people weighing more than 265 lbs (120kg)
