Explore one of the wonders of Puno with a tour to the Uros and Taquile Islands in Lake Titicaca, explore the floating islands in the lake, and learn more about the lives of the people who live on the islands in the highest lake in the world. Start the tour by picking you up from your hotel in Puno or the Puno bus station, and head to the main dock or port. Departure at 07:30 am and travel to the floating islands of the Uros, now considered the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Learn about the people of the Uros, who still maintain their own culture and tradition, as well as artisanal fishing, especially carachi and pejerrey. See some of the 75 islands that are inhabited today. Navigate by boat for 2 and a half hours to the natural island of Taquile, during the navigation you will be able to observe the mountain range. Discover more about the people of Taquile and their famous textiles. Enjoy approximately 2 hours of visit, 1 hour of delicious typical lunch in front of the lake, before returning to the bus station or to your accommodation.
