Travel to the heart of the Manu Park Reserve, where untouched nature and impressive biodiversity await you along the mountain that takes us to the captivating cloud forest.
DAY 01:
We began our trip from Cusco, traveling by private bus. Our first stop is the fascinating pre-Inca funerary towers of Ninamarca
Our adventure continues to Tres Cruces, the gateway to the Manu Cultural Zone then we head to San Pedro. during which we witnessed the intriguing courtship dance, known as the lek display, of the Cock of the Rock
As the day draws to a close, we arrive at our destination, the Rainforest Lodge.
DAY 02:
After a nutritious breakfast, we continue our adventure by private bus to Atalaya.
Our expedition continues from Atalaya, this time in a motor boat, heading to the attractive Aguas Calientes. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the relaxing embrace of natural hot springs.
In the afternoon, we arrive at RE Bonanza, where we take a short break to recharge. As night falls, we venture out for an exciting night walk through the jungle.
Our day ends with the return to the Bonanza Lodge
DAY 03:
Journey through biodiversity: from the Bonanza Ecological Reserve to the Casa Matchiguenka Lodge
We got up early and left the lodge to continue our trip following the currents of the Alto Madre de Dios River. Today, our destination lies within the pristine Manu River Reserve Zone.
As we sail halfway to our last stop, Casa Matchiguenka Lodge, we disembark for a short walk within the green Reserve Zone.
DAY 04:
Immerse yourself in indigenous heritage at Casa Matchiguenka Lodge
Our day begins with a trip to Cocha Salvador. From wild herons and agile spider monkeys to the rare sight of nearly extinct giant otters fishing.
After lunch, we embark on an excursion through the unexplored realms of the virgin rainforest towards Lake Cocha Otorongo.
For the rest of the day, we will head deeper into the jungle in search of a wide variety of monkey species.
As evening falls, we retreat from the heart of the jungle to immerse ourselves in the captivating beauty of the sunset.
DAY 05:
Return trip through nature: from Casa Matchiguenka Lodge to the Bonanza Ecological Reserve
We got up at dawn and left early to have a better chance of seeing a jaguar when leaving the Reserve Zone.
Our trip is interrupted by a brief stop in Boca Manu. Our destination is the serene Bonanza Ecological Reserve, where we will spend the night surrounded by nature.
DAY 06:
The journey home: from the Bonanza Ecological Reserve to the ancient city of Cusco
Taking advantage of the calm of the morning, we left the Bonanza Ecological Reserve and boarded our boat to begin the return to Atalaya. The trip, as it approaches its end, leaves us with indelible memories of an immersive expedition in the vibrant heart of Peru.
