Our six day Parque Manu Peru Tour, led by an English speaking local tour guide, you will be getting a deeper insight into life in the pristine areas of the Amazon Rainforest.
Day 1: Journey from Cusco to Pilcopata Town
Embark on an early morning journey from Cusco, visiting Nincamarca's ancient Lupaca civilization tombs and Paucartambo's colonial church. Experience panoramic views of the Amazon basin from Tres Cruces viewpoint before entering the Manu Cloud Forest. Spot Andean Cock of the rock and other wildlife before settling into a jungle lodge in Manu National Park.
Day 2: Journey from Pilcopata Town to Boca Manu
Enjoy a traditional Amazonian breakfast before a bus journey to Atalaya boat pier, with a stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Amazon Rainforest. Cruise along the Alto Madre de Dios river, spotting diverse wildlife. Pause at Manu's hot springs, Aguas Calientes, before reaching a jungle lodge in the Cultural Zone. Explore tapir licks and nocturnal wildlife on a jungle walk before dinner at the lodge.
Day 3: From Boca Manu to Casa Matsiguenka via Macaw Clay Lick
Witness the captivating Macaw Clay Lick before continuing your journey along the Madre de Dios river. Arrive at Casa Matsiguenka Lodge, managed by the Matsiguenka community, and explore Otorongo Oxbow Lake. Enjoy guided trails and optional night safari for nocturnal wildlife spotting.
Day 4: Immersion in Casa Matsiguenka's Wilderness
Trek through the untouched Manu Biosphere Reserve, learning about its biodiversity and medicinal plants. Enjoy a catamaran journey on Salvador and Otorongo Lakes, looking out for wildlife. Return to Matsiguenka Lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 5: From Matsiguenka to Boca Manu - A Cultural Journey
Depart Casa Matsiguenka Lodge and journey along the Madre de Dios river to Boca Manu. Visit the Diamante Native Community to learn about their culture and traditions. Continue to Dorado Lodge for exploration and relaxation. End the day with a bonfire, barbecue, and dinner.
Day 6: Journey from Boca Manu Back to Cusco
Enjoy breakfast at Dorado Lodge before returning to Atalaya Port by boat. Transfer to Cusco, arriving in the evening, concluding your unforgettable journey through the Peruvian Amazon. Airport or Hotel drop off.
