Begin the experience with hotel pickup in Iquitos near the Plaza de Armas, and travel for approximately 30 km to reach the Isla de Los Monos rescue center for monkeys. Navigate down the Itaya River and admire the view on the way.
Learn more about the rescue, where monkeys are rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Meet 7 different species, including Howler, Tití, Maquisapa, Tocón, Leoncito, Spider, and the friendly Choro Monkeys.
Voyage down the Amazon River for about two hours, and make your way to a farm where lizards, piranhas, and arapaima are raised. Learn about the farming process, and see where the animals are kept.
Enjoy an optional visit to the Yagua peoples of the Amazon, depending on the season. spot dolphins while traveling down the river, also depending on the season.
Start the return journey up the Amazon, and relax on the boat for about three hours before returning to the pier in Iquitos.
