Embark on an early morning adventure to the Tambopata National Reserve and the Chuncho Clay Lick. See the wildlife in their natural habitat and watch hundreds of parrots of different species come to eat clay from the wall adjacent to the river.
Be picked up from your hotel at 3:00 AM and transfer by land (4X4) to the banks of the Tambopata River. Take an introductory boat to the tropical jungle where you will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles, and wonderful insects, among others.
Arrive at 4:30 AM and leave for the largest macaw clay lick in the world, the Chuncho Clay Lick, on a trip of approximately 1.5 hours by boat. On the way, have the incredible opportunity to see some species such as ronsocos, sachavacas, and even the most beautiful South American cat, the jaguar.
Once you arrive at the macaw clay lick, see hundreds of parrots of different species that come to eat clay from the wall adjacent to the river. Return to Puerto Maldonado at 12:00 PM.
