Adventure in Tambopata: Monkey Island and Caiman Search.

In detail
Day 1: Kayaking + Monkey Island + Cayman Hunting

-We will start our excursion from the meeting point at 9:30 a.m. We will navigate by boat on the Madre de Dios River to our lodge. Upon arrival, we will be greeted with a refreshing local fruit drink and receive information about the planned activities.

-After settling in, we will take a walk through the jungle to admire ancient trees and, if we are lucky, spot some animals such as monkeys, birds and insects.

-At 13:00, we will enjoy a comforting lunch.

-Afterwards, we will venture by kayak down the Madre de Dios River to Monkey Island, where we will be able to interact with a family of these curious primates.

-In the evening, we will embark on an exciting night walk along the river in search of caimans in their natural habitat.

-Upon our return, a delicious dinner awaits us, followed by an optional campfire activity, where we will share stories of the jungle.

-We will rest in our lodge for the night, ready to continue exploring the jungle the next day.

Day 2: Sandoval Lake - Return to the city

-We will start the day with a delicious early breakfast and get ready to head to Sandoval Lake. To get there, we will walk 3 kilometers, passing by Collpas of palm trees rich in minerals, where, with luck, we will be able to spot macaws licking these palms.

-Once at the lake, we will have time to explore part of the area and observe various animals in their natural habitat, such as coto monkeys, turtles, black caimans, giant otters, among others.

-At noon, we will enjoy lunch at 12:30 pm.

-Afterwards, we will return to the city at 4:30 pm.
