Iquitos || 2 days in the Amazon, natural wonder of the world

Want to get away from the urban hustle and bustle? Live a complete adventure in the Amazon exploring its rich fauna and resting in a cozy house in the middle of the jungle.
Program Day 1 We will depart from Iquitos at 9:00 am to head to the Amazon, the most famous river in the world due to its extraordinary length and flow. We will embark on a boat to explore this lung of the American continent, home to the most extensive rainforest on the planet. What tree species thrive in the Amazon? What creatures inhabit this natural paradise? We will find out together! We will admire an intriguing phenomenon of nature as we reach the Nanay River, where the color of its waters contrasts with those of the Amazon. If we are lucky, we will be able to spot the pink dolphins that inhabit this jungle region. Our animal expedition will continue in the lizard reserve, where we will also observe piaches. We will discover fascinating details about this fish, which can grow up to 3 meters in length. Did you imagine that such an imposing fish prowls the rivers of Peru?

Around 1:30 pm, we will settle on the banks of the Amazon River in a cozy two-story house built with local materials. We will enjoy a full lunch to recharge our batteries before continuing our journey at 3:00 pm. We will visit the Yagua indigenous community, whose economy is based on agriculture, fishing and hunting. What is the mythology of the Yagua? What rituals do they practice? What is their relationship with the natural environment? Our guide will answer these questions and more.
We will return to the lodge around 5:00 pm for a short rest and dinner. Then, we will venture out on a night walk to listen to the songs of birds and insects and learn to identify their characteristic sounds. Finally, we will retire for the night in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 2 We will start early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Amazon at approximately 5:00 am. We will contemplate how the first rays of sunlight penetrate the dense vegetation, creating an unforgettable spectacle. We will spend the morning observing the vibrantly colored birds that inhabit the Peruvian jungle, including unique species such as the majestic scarlet macaw. After this enriching experience, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast to recharge our batteries.

Then, we will head to the serpentarium, an animal rescue center that houses everything from sloths and ocelots to turtles and parrots. Despite its name, we will also enjoy refreshing drinks made from medicinal plants and native tree bark. We will return to the lodge around 12:30 pm to rest before lunch.
At 2:30 pm we will embark again on a boat that will take us back to Iquitos, where we will arrive at approximately 4:30 pm.

Lodging During this exciting excursion, we will stay in cabins equipped with private rooms and bathrooms. You will have the option to choose between a double bed or two single beds according to your preference.
