From Iquitos | Excursion - Sunrise and sighting in 5 days

If you have ever dreamed of exploring the Amazon River and its lush jungle, you can't miss this 5-day excursion to the north.
Day 1: Punctual reception (9:30 am) and transfer to the Port of Bellavista, located on the banks of the Nanay River. From there, we will board a ship to begin our journey down the Amazon River. During this trip of approximately 3 hours, we will contemplate the confluence of the Amazon River and the Nanay River, as well as visit the Don Pedrito Ranch. The jungle landscape and the charming dwellings of the riverside villages will be the main attractions of our tour. We will enjoy a typical buffet lunch and time to rest. In the afternoon, we will sail briefly to reach the community where the AQL ¨Timicurillo¨ is located. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Breakfast at 8:00 am. After a short rest, we will sail to ¨Neyser Island¨, where we will interact with different species of monkeys. Afterwards, we will head to the hamlet of San Juan de Huashalado to visit the rescue center ¨El encanto de Rony¨, known for its emblematic anaconda. We will continue exploring with tastings of aphrodisiac and medicinal drinks. Return to the AQL for lunch. In the afternoon, we will go on botanical walks to learn about medicinal plants and their healing properties, followed by dinner.

Day 3: Early breakfast. We will prepare for an exciting adventure on the Yana-Yacu River. We will sail to the town of San Juan de Huashalado and cross the dry dock to the Yana Yacu River by canoe. Here we will enjoy a Full Day in a privileged environment with a great variety of birds, free monkeys and majestic trees. We will also have the opportunity to swim with dolphins. Lunch will be outdoors, either in the houses of the locals or on board. We will return to the AQL around 6:00 pm, admiring the beautiful Amazonian sunset on the way back. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Optionally, we will wake up at 4:00 am to witness the Amazonian sunrise and the awakening of the birds. Breakfast. Then we will navigate the Amazon River to the community of ¨Sinchicuy¨, where we will interact with the Yagua Indians and witness their traditions through dances, songs and handicrafts. Afterwards, we will enjoy a refreshing bath on the banks of the river, including the option to experience a healing mud bath. Return to the lodge for lunch and visit to the rural community of San Rafael, where we will observe local customs and visit the butterfly farm.

Day 5: Breakfast. We will continue sailing downstream until we reach Monkey Island and visit its fruit and medicine plantation. Return to the AQL for lunch and preparation for a 2-hour boat ride back to the city. Transfer to the hotel/airport. End of our services.
