In Peru, Karpay is performed in the mountains or snowy peaks of Ausangate. It is performed by Altomisayoc Shaman masters from Ausangate. Here, the gift of serving others through Karpay is received.
Karpay is performed through different techniques whose secrets are practiced by the Altomisayoc Shamans. Karpay in the Apus: Ausangate, Koylloriti and Huamanlipa, among others.

It has a mysterious power that comes from the great spirits called Apus, it is the spiritual energy, it represents the three forces of life: the Yachay (learning the spiritual wisdom that is opened through the chakras), the Causay (meaning the gift of living, represented by the heart) and the Yancay (meaning the effort dedicated to the mission or objective). The power of Karpay comes from the mysterious place, it descends from the world it represents: the Hanan Pacha (mysterious power of the universe and of the celestial Gods); Kay Pacha (permission and mysterious power of Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the energy of all living beings) and the Uku Pacha (for many the underworld and for the Incas the eternal paradise of the spirits of the other world).
