At Waqrapukara, you will embark on an exciting hike of approximately 2 hours, exploring a majestic Inca fortress and enjoying panoramic views that will take your breath away.
Waqrapukara is a site that means “Fortress in the shape of a horn”. Formerly, it was a residence of the Inca nobility and Inca temples and structures can still be seen in the place. This attraction is located at 4300 meters above sea level.
The tour begins with hotel pick-up (near or within the historic center) between 4:00 and 5:00 am.
- We will travel to Sangará, place of our first stop for breakfast.
Then we will continue until we reach a parking lot where the mobility will be accommodated and we will begin the 2-hour walk to the archaeological center of Waqrapukara.
-Upon arrival you will have a brief guide and time to visit part of the area.
-We will return to the car and return to Sangará where we will make the last stop for lunch.
-Return to the city of Cusco, you will be dropped off near the Plaza de Armas.
-Arrival time 6:00 p.m. approximately.
