Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain tour 2 days 1 night, gives you the opportunity to visit the most visited tourist attractions in the Cusco.
Day 1: Machu Picchu
The tour of Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain 2 days 1 night, starts with the pick up from your hotel at 3:30 a.m. and then go 2 hours approx., by bus from Cusco to Ollantaytambo by train station. Then we will board the train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu town also called Aguas Calientes the trip lasts 2 hours approx.
Arriving at Machu Picchu town we go to the bus station Consettur, we board the mobility that will take us to the lost city of the Incas (Machu Picchu) with a duration of 30 minutes, at the point of entry our guide waiting for us to enter, at the checkpoint we will show the entrance ticket. From this place will begin the guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes where you will be explained the informative part of Machu Picchu, after the tour will have some free time to appreciate the scenery and take pictures.
Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy our lunch.
After our lunch, we will have to go to the train station in Aguas Calientes and board the train that will take us to Ollantaytambo.
At the train station of Ollantaytambo, our driver will be waiting for you with a sign and your name who will take you to your transportation to return to Cusco and take you to your respective hotel.
Day 2: Rainbow Mountain
First, we will start with the pick up from the hotel (historic center of Cusco), from 4:30 to 05:00 a.m.
Then we will head in our tourist transport south of Cusco to the community of Tintinco in the district of Cusipata, where we will have our first stop to enjoy a buffet breakfast.
Then we will continue our journey by road for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the parking lot, from where we will start our hike.
Afterward, we will have a 2-hour hike to Rainbow Mountain, where we will be able to witness the fauna such as alpacas, vicuñas and llamas, when we arrive we will have enough time to take pictures and walk through much of the place and observe all the surrounding landscape and rest a little to begin the descent.
Then we will return by the same route to the parking lot to return to the district of Cusipata, Tintinco where we will have a buffet lunch and finally return to the city of Cusco (approximate time of arrival 17:30 hrs).
