Cusco: Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, Humantay Lake 5D Tour

Embark on a 5-day adventure from Cusco, exploring Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, and Humantay Lake. Enjoy smooth transfers, guided tours, scenic hikes, and cultural experiences in the heart of Peru.
Day 1
Get picked up and taken to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 2
Start with an early morning pickup from your hotel. Take a journey to Ollantaytambo train station to board the tourist train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Be greeted by a representative upon arrival and allow them to drive you to the Consettur bus station for a short ride to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu.

Meet your guide at the entrance for an insightful tour inside the citadel. After the tour, return to Machu Picchu Pueblo, enjoy lunch, and explore the picturesque village. Return to Ollantaytambo in the evening and board a train back to Cusco, ending with a hotel drop-off at night.

Day 3
Start your day with an early pickup from your Cusco hotel. Head south to the village of Tintinco for a buffet breakfast. Continue by road to the parking lot, and start a hike to Rainbow Mountain.

Surrounded by the remote landscapes of the Andean Mountain range, admire the geological wonder of the Rainbow Mountain. Marvel at the stunning stripes of colors up close, observe alpacas, vicuñas, and llamas, take pictures, and start your descent. Take the same route back to Tintinco, where a buffet lunch awaits. Finally, head back to Cusco.

Day 4
After pickup from Cusco, travel northwest to Mollepata, stopping for breakfast. Continue to the base of the trail in Challacancha to begin a hike to Humantay Lagoon, a natural gem of Peru’s highland region.

Gaze in awe at the turquoise waters with the snow-capped mountains of Salkantay in the background. After connecting with nature, return to Challacancha, then head back to Mollepata for lunch and arrive back at Cusco.

Day 5
Depending on your flight time, take the shuttle from your hotel to transfer you to the airport.
