Start your Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley tour with a 4:30 am pickup from your Cusco accommodation, followed by a 3-hour drive to the trailhead. Enjoy a chef-prepared breakfast and admire the surrounding mountains before embarking on a 2-hour hike to Vinicunca Mountain (Rainbow Mountain). The trail features a mix of gradual and steep inclines leading to the summit amidst the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain range, home to llamas and alpacas.
Dress warmly for the freezing summit temperatures and be ready to capture the stunning views with your camera. At the peak, learn about the colorful hills' origins and their cultural significance, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Andes.

Pickup is available from hotels in the historic center of Cusco. Pickup is only included for hotels located in downtown and in cases where transport is impossible due to the narrow streets, you will be provided with a meeting point. If you are staying in a private apartment or outside the pickup route, you will be provided with the closest meeting point available.
