Excursion to the Colca Canyon with Breakfast and Lunch

See the Andean condor soaring over the Colca Canyon on a guided tour of the Arequipa region, with breakfast and lunch included. Admire colonial churches and visit hot springs.
At approximately 3:00 AM our transportation will pick you up at your hotel in the center of the city of Arequipa to start your day trip to the Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world, then we will take the Yura highway, bordering the high Andean mountains that are within the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, habitat of South American Camelids such as the Vicuña and the Guanaco. At approximately 6:00 am we will arrive at the town of Chivay; where you will have time to enjoy breakfast, then we will continue with the trip for approximately one hour until we reach the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor. Here we will stop at a strategic point to contemplate the natural beauty of the Colca Canyon and also to observe the flight of the condors. On the way back, we will make stops in the towns of Yanque, Maca and Pinchollo, which have beautiful colonial churches. We will also go to the Choquetico and Antahuilque viewpoints, from where we will observe the surprising terraces of the valley, the tombs of the pre-Inca era. Later we will return to the town of Chivay to enjoy a buffet lunch. Then you will have the opportunity to enjoy the thermal baths of La Calera (optional) where you can also do adventure activities such as Cayac and ATVs for an additional cost, we will stay there for approximately one hour. At approximately 2:00 p.m. the return trip to Arequipa begins, where on the way you will visit the highest point between Arequipa and the Colca Canyon: Patapampa (4800 meters above sea level), from where you can see the volcanic mountain range. The excursion will end around 5:00 p.m., when we arrive at the center of the city of Arequipa.
