Arequipa: Tour through the Valley of the Volcanoes 3D/2N

Day 1: Arequipa - Andagua - Ayo
We will pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa at 5:00 a.m. to begin this 3-day tour of the Valley of the Volcanoes. First, we will stop for breakfast in Corire and continue until we reach the Jurassic Park of Querulpa. Here we will take a one-hour walk to follow the dinosaur footprints and life-size figures.

After enjoying a lunch of meat, pasta and soup, we will continue the journey to Andagua. We will contemplate the snow-capped peaks of Coropuna and see the llamas, alpacas and vicuñas that graze on the plains. Finally, we will arrive at our destination around 2:00 p.m. and we will stop in the town of Ayo, where we will have dinner, which will include soup, rice with vegetables and a hot drink, and we will spend the night.

Day 2: Ayo - Mamacocha - Andagua
At 5:00 a.m. we will be ready to continue the trip from Ayo. We will head to Maucallacta, where we will give you time to have breakfast and then we will visit the Mamacocha lagoon. Did you know that it is the largest spring in all of South America?

After three hours of visiting, we will go to Andagua and we will leave you free time for lunch. Next, we will go to Antaymarca to visit its archaeological remains and go up to the viewpoint, from where we will contemplate the more than 80 small volcanoes that surround the area. It will seem like you are on another planet!

We will walk for an hour to the Shankillay waterfall and hike up one of the volcanoes. After a very complete afternoon, we will return to Ayo to spend the night.

Day 3: Majes Valley - Arequipa
In the morning, we will get up and you will have time to have breakfast before starting the way back to Arequipa. During the journey, we will make stops in Machahuay and Viraco, old farming towns located in the Coropuna valley. After giving you time to have lunch at a restaurant in Majes, we will make a one-hour visit to the petroglyphs of Toromuerto, one of the most famous examples of rock art in the Valley of the Volcanoes.

Finally, we will conclude the tour by dropping you off at your hotels around 6:00 p.m.
