Discover the most attractive places in the city of Trujillo.
10:30 We head to the Moche countryside and appreciate the way of life of the Mocheros, both in their craftsmanship, expressed in the manufacture of ceramics, leather work, wood and stone carvings, basketry, and others, and in their gastronomy.
Finally we arrived at the Huacas del sol y la luna, considered a Mochica sanctuary made up of a set of monuments that physically represented the capital of the Mochica Culture since the 1st century BC. C. until the 9th century.
Time to lunch, We headed to the Chanchan sites museum, which displays various original objects found at Chan Chan.
Then we continue towards Chanchan, made up of 9 citadels or palaces. Each one has similar formal characteristics such as: its monumental scale, very restricted access, the complexity and elaboration of its architectural forms.
We continue the tour arriving at Huanchaco, a traditional fishing cove, whose inhabitants to this day preserve many of the customs of their Mochica ancestors; so much so that the tiny boats called "caballitos" made of reeds continue to be the main work tool of the current Huanchaquero fisherman.
