You will go back to the time of ancient Andean civilizations as you discover the ruins of Pachacamac, one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the central coast of Peru.
After picking you up at the chosen time, we will leave the center of Lima and head towards the Lurín Valley. Here we will visit the pre-Inca ruins built in honor of the god Pachacamac, creator of the universe according to the ancient Andean peoples.
During our half-hour tour, we will delve into the history of Andean civilizations and discover what daily life was like for the Moche, Huai and Inca cultures. While we will tour the impressive Citadel of Pachacamac, we will learn everything about its famous oracle, whose fame made the area even become the most important ceremonial center of the Inca empire.
We will approach the remains of the Temple of the Sun, built by the Incas using thousands of adobe bricks. From its summit it is possible to obtain wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean, the Andes mountain range and the esplanade where the ruins of this cult center rest. In addition, we will see the main archaeological remains of the citadel in Aclawasi, a sacred place where the virgins lived who were sacrificed every year as an offering to the Sun god.
The tour ends by returning to your hotel in Lima after a 3-hour excursion.
