Day 1: Discover the Magic of Humantay Lake and the Exclusive Quiswarniyoc Camp

We start early by picking up everyone from their hotels in Cusco, ready to embark on an exciting adventure to Humantay Lake. After a delicious breakfast in Mollepata and paying the entrance fee, we head to Soraypampa, where the muleteers and horses await to carry our luggage. The uphill hike to Humantay Lake is an unforgettable experience, followed by a nutritious lunch at the exclusive Quiswarniyoc Camp!

After lunch, you'll have free time to explore the area and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature. Whether you choose to ascend to the Salkantay Viewpoint for a panoramic view or relax in the comfortable glass igloos, the camp offers a unique experience at 4,000 meters above sea level. Don't miss the opportunity to interact with the local llamas and capture stunning views of the surrounding mountains!

Day 2: Challenge the High Peaks of Salkantay Pass and Return to Cusco

The second day promises thrilling adventures as we head to the highest point of the Salkantay Trail, offering breathtaking views and a visit to the majestic Salkantay Lake. Wake up early for a comforting cup of coca tea and prepare for a hearty breakfast before embarking on the challenging ascent to Salkantay Pass, at 4,630 meters above sea level.

Upon reaching the summit, take a moment to admire the panoramic views and immerse yourself in the mysticism of the mountain gods. Participate in a small Andean ritual to honor the Apus before beginning the descent back to Soraypampa. After a well-deserved lunch in Mollepata, we return to Cusco with unforgettable memories and unique experiences from our Salkantay Trail adventure!
