Pickup at 1600 Hrs. The tour starts with a visit (photo stop) to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - quietly imposing from the outside, this glorious piece of modern Islamic architecture was a gift to the nation from Sultan Qaboos to mark his 30th year of reign. Next visit is the Royal Opera House (photo stop) then continues with a drive thru Lover’s Street (Qurum Beach) and then to old Muscat, surrounded by steep mountains and flanked by the twin 16th century Jalali and Mirani forts, extends to Al Alam Palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. A stop at Muttrah, the main port area, leads to explore an ancient and colorful Souq, named as Mutrah Souq which is known for its handicrafts like silverware, daggers, traditional cloth, in addition to the famous Omani sweets (Halwa), spices and braziers (receptacles in which incense or frankincense is burned)
