A Helicopter Wine Tour with a scenic flight including a glass of sparkling wine on the mountain, before landing in the Gibbston wine region & traveling to four different locations for tastings.
Start your day being met by the helicopter company at your Queenstown accommodation, and after a safety briefing at their base take to the skies on a scenic helicopter flight, landing on a mountaintop for a glass of bubbles (sparkling wine). From here we land in the Gibbston wine region, home to award-winning winemakers, stunning scenery, and, of course, delicious Pinot Noir.
After your helicopter flight, meet your Altitude Tours guide and enjoy a day being hosted across four different wine-tasting experiences, including a tour of the underground wine cave at Gibbston Valley. Your guide and the cellar door staff will entertain you with local stories and winemaking information, and you also have the option of indulging in a delicious lunch at a local winery (additional cost ordered on the day).

- During the day we allow additional time at Kinross Cellar Door to enjoy lunch. While lunch isn't included in the tour price, this is because Kinross offers a broad menu, allowing you to select something for your taste and budget.
- Weights are required for the helicopter company, and the reservations team will be in contact shortly after you book to reconfirm any details with you directly.
- The helicopter company requires a minimum of 4 people to confirm the flight and in the instance that this is not met, our team will contact you in advance to give you the options.
- The helicopter is weather dependent and in the case of bad weather, the team will contact you to give you options.
You will be collected by our helicopter partner The Helicopter Line at approx. 9:15am and taken to their base for a safety briefing prior to your 10am flight. Pick-ups are available at a range of hotels and bus stops around Queenstown and Frankton.
After you book the Altitude Tours team will send through reconfirmation of your pick-up time and location and can help answer any questions you may have leading up to the day.
