Explore the cities along the Norwegian coast individually and in your own pace, while still getting the information of an experienced tour guide on your smartphone.
The Hurtigruten and Havila Kystruten mailboats call at 34 ports along the Norwegian coast. There is plenty of time for a walking tour in the larger towns. Explore the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund, the old Norwegian capital Trondheim, Bodø, the Arctic capital Tromsø, Kirkenes, Hammerfest and Svolvær on the Lofoten Islands on extended city tours and shorter walks.
In Alesund you will learn interesting facts about the great city fire and the reconstruction in Art Nouveau style.
Nidaros Cathedral is certainly the highlight of the tour of Trondheim. But the historic workers' quarter Bakklandet and the former harbour area Nedre Elvehavn are also worth seeing. Somewhat bizarre is the world's only bicycle lift.
Tromsoe was the starting point of Arctic expeditions for a long time. Today, the Polar Museum takes visitors back to the time of the Norwegian polar explorers Amundsen and Nansen. The famous Mack Oil Halls entice visitors to sample beer in what was once the world's northernmost brewery.
