Download the free app at utrecht.quiztour.nl, start the quiz and it will guide you to the first location, near Utrecht Central Station. The app encourages you to look around and not so much at your phone. You'll see things on the city tour you would otherwise not notice. Available in both dutch and english.
The very first quiz which is now available is about 3-4 km in length and takes along the canals and the wharves through the city center. You'll come across the city crane, the Neude, and Dom Tower, while shown historic pictures and hints on where to go next. With a compass pointing towards the next location you're always able to pick up the path where you left off. Even when you decide to hop into a museum or having a coffee at one of the many café's you encounter.
The tour is a great way to discover the city at your own pace! In a private group, or alone.
