This epic journey begins with an exciting flight to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region. As you step off the plane and out into the tarmac, you’ll feel the surreality of being this close to Everest! But it’s just getting started. You begin gently, trekking through the winding forests and lush vegetation. Sherpa villages that you’ve seen in pictures and videos will come to life as you make your gradual ascend. As you climb upwards, the landscape transforms dramatically, with towering peaks emerging on the horizon. Up on what seems like the zenith, their snow-capped summits appear as if they are piercing the sky; while down below, you’ll be crossing dizzying suspension bridges above deep deep gorges. You will pass through iconic places like Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Sherpa, and the picturesque Tengboche Monastery, where you can spend some time soaking in the atmosphere and praising panoramic vistas.

Standing tall at 6,119 metres (20,075 feet), ascending Lobuche East demands respect and absolute preparation. Unlike Island Peak, climbing Lobuche requires a far greater degree of technical skills and usage of proper equipment.
