Meet your guide in in your place in Kathmandu and prepare for the hike. Drive to the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park entrance, where entry permits are arranged. Begin the hike to Jamacho Hill, where the trail winds through fresh forests and offers a moderate, steady ascent.
Reach the Jamacho Viewpoint, home to a small Buddhist stupa and a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley and, on clear days, the Himalayas. Enjoy a snack break, taking in the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views.
Begin the descent back to the national park entrance and drive back to Machapokhari from the trailhead, concluding the hike.
