Kathmandu: 12-Days Everest Base Camp Trekking

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: You will take an early flight to Lukla (2840 m). The flight is dramatic & exciting at the same time. Upon reaching Lukla, you will hike up to Phakding (2600m). Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 2: After having early breakfast, you will hike towards starting point of Everest Base Camp journey, Namche Bazar (3535m) which is a beautiful and famous Sherpa village full of shops, cafes and Hotel. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 3: Today is rest day. Have your breakfast with an amazing view of Everest range. Treat yourself with an excursion and visit the gully of Namche Bazar (3535m). Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 4: From here we ascend towards Tengboche (3850m) village which houses the very famous Tengboche monastery, the biggest monastery of the Everest region. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 5: Our trail descends and passes through lush forests Himalayan trees. We trek towards the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche (4350 m). Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 6: Spending a day in Dingboche (4410m) will help us to acclimate altitude. We can also admire the Imja Khola Valley and Dingboche village. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 7: We ascend to the steep region of Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche (4940m). As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we find ourselves facing several great peaks. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 8: The trek to EBC (5364m) is not very difficult. We can enjoy amazing views mountain ranges from the base camp. After soaking in the beauty, we are back to Gorakshep (5160m) and spend the night. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 9: Hike to Kalapathar (5545m). You will see Mt. Nuptse, Cholatse and Lhotse 1st thing in the morning. This will be the most opportune moment to snap amazing pictures of Everest and its neighboring peaks. Afterward, it's back to Gorakshep for breakfast and down to Pheriche. Overnight: Guesthouse (B)

Day 10: The walk from Pheriche back to Tengboche is mainly downhill. We'll be in Namche by late afternoon and relax on our last day on the mountain. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 11: We walk through the Sherpa villages noticing faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and flags. You will pass the Hillary Suspension Bridge and several local villages. You will rest in a proper hotel in Lukla. Overnight: Guesthouse

Day 12: After the continuous trekking for 13 days, finally, you will catch the early morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. End of trip!!!
