The Kakani–Shivapuri Village Trek is an enchanting journey that offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and serenity, just a short distance from Kathmandu. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Kakani, a charming hilltop village known for its cool climate and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. From there, you’ll embark on a picturesque trek through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, gradually ascending towards Shivapuri Village, a peaceful haven perched on the slopes of the Shivapuri Peak. Along the way, the landscape transforms into a beautiful mosaic of traditional villages, terraced fields, and glimpses of the majestic Himalayas.

The following day, you’ll continue your trek up to Shivapuri Peak the second-highest hill surrounding the Kathmandu Valley, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, including Langtang and Ganesh Himal. After soaking in the beauty, you’ll descend towards Budhanilkantha, home to the famous Vishnu statue, before returning to Kathmandu, filled with unforgettable memories of rural Nepal's serene beauty and cultural richness.
