Start your adventure inside Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. As you walk along the trail, see a mix of tall trees, colorful flowers, and maybe even some animals like deer or monkeys. The forest is alive with the sound of birds, making it a refreshing experience.
After some walking, arrive at Jamacho Gumba. The monastery is calm and quiet, with a welcoming atmosphere. Explore the area, take photos, and enjoy the stunning views of the valley below and the mountains in the distance.
The return walk is mostly downhill, so it’s a bit easier. Have time to enjoy the trail once again and reflect on the experience before finishing the hike.
7:00 AM – Hotel Pick-Up
Your guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation in Kathmandu. Travel in a comfortable private vehicle to the entrance of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park.
8:00 AM – Trekking Begins
Enter the national park and start your hike along well-marked trails surrounded by dense forest. As you ascend, take in the natural beauty, listen to the sounds of the forest, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
10:00 AM – Arrive at Jamacho Gumba
Reach the peaceful monastery perched atop a hill. Spend time exploring the sacred site, taking photos, and enjoying panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and distant Himalayan peaks such as Ganesh Himal and Langtang.
11:00 AM – Descend Back to the Starting Point
Begin your descent through the forest, retracing your steps. The return trek is easier, allowing you to take in the beauty of the trail without effort.
12:30 PM – Hotel Drop-Off
Return to your hotel in Kathmandu, refreshed and fulfilled after this amazing short adventure.
