Embark on a journey to Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City, starting with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Meknes. Chefchaouen is located in the Rif Mountains near Tangier and as you close in, you’ll be able to recognize the city by its remarkable blue-washed buildings.
Once you’ve arrived, you’ll have four hours to explore the small, picturesque city streets of the medina. Discover the local shops and cafes, the Plaza Uta el-Hammam main square, the 18th-century kasbah museum, the Grand Mosque, and the Ras Elma river that runs through the old city.
You may also want to visit the ethnographic museum which contains musical instruments, antique weapons, and photographs of the old town.
