On the way to Essaouira, make a few stops to see the flying goats (tree goats that can be seen hopping from branch to branch of the argan trees native to the region), rest in a Berber village and have a hot cup of mint tea or coffee, and visit an argan oil factory, a sought-after luxury product.

Once you arrive in Essaouira, follow your local guide to the traditional souk market where a variety of wares, crafts, and foods are sold, offering a tantalizing array of sights and smells. After your Moroccan market experience, tour the famous Skala de la Kasbah ramparts, a relic of European engineering from the city's colonial days. From there, proceed to the bustling port of Essaouira before enjoying free time for lunch, shopping, and further exploration.
