Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang: by slow boat 3 days 2 nights

Traveling by slow boat will allow you to experience the beautiful natural scenery and lifestyle of the communities along the Mekong River up close.
Day 1: Chiang Mai to Huay Xai (Chiang Khong):
1. Depart from Chiang Mai at 9:00 am. Travel to the Chiang Khong border by van (approximately 5-6 hours).
2. Our Staff will take you cross-border from Chiang Khong to Huay Xai, Laos (a short crossing).
3. Spend the first night in Huay Xai before embarking on your boat adventure the next day (our staff will take you to your booked accommodation. We provide free transfers, no charge).

Day 2: Huay Xai to Pakbeng:
1. Start the slow boat journey from Huay Xai in the morning. The boat will travel down the Mekong River to Pakbeng (approximately a 6-7 hour journey).
2. Staff come to pickup you at 8:00 am. And take you to slow boat to pak beng
3. Arrive in Pakbeng in the evening and Stay overnight at Pakbeng for another night.

Day 3: Pak Beng to Luang Prabang:
1. Continue the slow boat journey from Pak Beng to Luang Prabang in the morning (approximately a 10-11 hour journey).
2: Arrive in Luang Prabang in the afternoon or evening.
