Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi and drive towards the Maasai Mara. Stop at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy the stunning view of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at a traveler’s motel for lunch en route.
Arrive at the campground in Maasai Mara and check into your self-contained tent. Head out for a sunset game drive to spot the park’s wildlife. Return to camp for a buffet dinner and a relaxing evening under the stars.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
Embark on an early morning balloon safari over the Mara. Explore the reserve on a full-day game drive. Search for the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of croton trees.
Visit the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles can be spotted along the banks, especially during the wildebeest migration. End the day by visiting a local Maasai village to learn about their traditions and lifestyle. Return to camp for dinner and a cozy night in your tent.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Lake Nakuru. Stop for lunch in a local town along the way. Arrive at Lake Nakuru and check into your accommodation. Relax in preparation for the next day’s activities.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park and Return to Nairobi
Enjoy an early breakfast followed by a 3-hour game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Spot flocks of pink flamingos and visit the sanctuary for black and white rhinos. Start the journey back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop en route. Arrive back in Nairobi and drop-off at your hotel.
