Siem Reap - Discover Angkor Wat by Jeep

Travelling by Jeep allows us to go off-road and escape the crowds of tuktuks and tour buses. Explore some of the most spectacular temples in Cambodia; Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm, and more.
Today marks the beginning of our exciting Jeep tours, where we will journey through Cambodia’s ancient temples and UNESCO World Heritage sites along less-traveled paths. As we navigate through the jungle, we will pass by local villages and shops, creating a unique and engaging experience as we explore some of Angkor’s most stunning temples. Our first stop will be the West Gate of Angkor Thom, a hidden gem away from the crowds of tourists.

Next, we will proceed to Angkor Thom, where we will visit the Bayon Temple, renowned for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 mysterious smiling faces. We will also explore Phimeanakas, Baphoun, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch will be served at the Ancient Khmer House Restaurant, located near Sras Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, which was once exclusively for the King and his consorts. Enjoy a delightful array of local cuisine, followed by a relaxing nap in a hammock or an opportunity to engage with the local community and learn about their traditional lifestyle.

After lunch, our tour continues with a visit to the enchanting Ta Prohm temple, famously featured in the Tomb Raider film starring Angelina Jolie. Experience the thrill of being an early explorer as you wander through this temple, which has been beautifully reclaimed by nature.

In the afternoon, we will marvel at the magnificent Angkor Wat, constructed by King Suryavarman II between 1113 and 1150 in honor of the god Vishnu. We will then return to the city to conclude our tour.
