Pompeii is one of the most popular tourist attractions around Naples, was destroyed by the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Although less known than its twin city Pompeii, Herculaneum is another victim of the ferocious eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The city of Herculaneum, just like the city of Pompeii, was completely buried under the fire of pyroclastic material and rediscovered only in 1709 by workers who dug a well.
Thanks to the huge amount of research and restoration you can relive what has been, like living in a Roman city thousands of years ago, keeping it in your most beautiful memories and you will be able to see buildings and objects that seem to be stuck in a time capsule.
Vesuvius is one of the most visited and known volcanoes in the world. It includes two volcanoes: Mount Somma and the Great Cone of Vesuvius. Since 1995, Vesuvius has become a national park where you can reach the summit along a path to walk.
It is a bitter and sweet relationship between Vesuvius and the Neapolitans.
From the top you will have a panoramic view of the picturesque bay of Naples from east to west.
