Enjoy organic food and a wine tasting experience in the charming Chianti wine region on this guided day trip from Florence. Visit 2 wineries, eat a 3-course lunch, and explore San Gimignano.
We'll tour the vineyards and wine cellar of an organic farm in the heart of the "Chianti" wine region, receiving an up close look at the production and ageing process of the Chianti wines and also learning about the secrets of the extra virgin olive oil making. This wonderful experience will include a wine tasting and the opportunity to buy for cheap some of the best tuscan wines. Our trip continues on to the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano, where we'll have the chance to taste the world champion gelato at gelateria Dondoli. Next step will be the visit to a second local winery where we'll enjoy an authentic tuscan lunch, combined to a wine tasting class. A fine selection of Chianti wines will be presented and paired to antipasti toscani, ribollita soup and lasagna. You will have the pleasure to expand your senses with a thirty years old balsamic vinegar and an incredible truffle olive oil! On our way home we'll stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, nominated one of the top 10 most romantic spots in Europe.
