Embark on a 2 hour guided walking tour of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii to marvel over the remarkably preserved ruins. Learn how the city was buried by the AD79 eruption of the nearby Mount Vesuvius volcano and see ruins that date back to the 7th century BC. Stand in awe before the world’s oldest surviving Roman amphitheater, hear stories of Roman life as you wander the Forum, and listen as your guide points out the Roman Baths, the Termopolium Capuano and the House of the Tragic Poet.
After a comprehensive tour of ancient Pompeii, jump back in your vehicle for a drive along the UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast. Admire the picturesque scenery and hop out to take photos as you wind along the coastal cliffs and pass picturesque fishing villages clinging to the rocks.
Along the way, stop to take in the views from hilltop Ravello and enjoy free time to walk around the town independently. Perhaps visit the 17th-century Villa Rufolo or tuck into lunch (own expense) at one of the many local restaurants or cafes.
