Low or moderate Northern Lights activity and clear or partially clear skies are essential for a successful outing. When these conditions align favorably, we promptly update our website to inform you of our decision.
While we take pride in our skilled guides and accurate forecasts, it's important to acknowledge that witnessing the Northern Lights is an unpredictable encounter. As part of nature's grand display, they can never be guaranteed. We cannot promise you exactly how vibrant or extensive the lights will be on the night you embark on your hunt. It's crucial to understand that no other tour guide can make such guarantees either. However, what we can assure you is that we are dedicated to staying informed about when and where optimal sightings are likely to occur, and we are committed to guiding you out of Reykjavik promptly in pursuit of the Aurora.
Refunds are only provided in the unfortunate event of tour cancellation due to unfavourable weather conditions, which would prevent you from witnessing the Northern Lights. Please note that rescheduling or refunds are not available if a sighting of the Northern Lights is not attainable during your tour. Pickup is offered from all Reykjavik hotels, hostels and guesthouses, and private homes. As buses are not allowed to drive in certain areas of Reykjavik center, your pickup may be from the nearest bus stop. After receiving your pickup information, the local partner will notify you of your exact pick up time and location 6 to 24 hours before the departure time by email. If you do not require hotel pickup, you can meet the tour at Tour Bus Stop #1 City Hall. Please notify the local partner directly if you intend to use this option. Please be at your pickup location 30 minutes before departure time.
