Our experience takes place in a Hungarian family business, a beautiful and cozy pastry shop/cafe. We provide a true experience in making the Hungarian/Transylvanian Chimney Cake - which traditionally is called Kürtőskalács. Chimney Cakes are one of the most famous Hungarian desserts/sweet street foods you can easily learn how to make them together with our expert workshop leaders who have years and years of experience in Hungarian Chimney Cake making. Our experience is unique, and the only one in Budapest! Come see our Kürtőskalács laboratory just under the Chimney Cake Shop.

The Kürtőskalács is a Hungaricum, and we are proud to share the secrets of making this simple dessert with our guests from around the world.

Our local experts will explain how the dough is made, and how to work it. You'll be walked through the steps of making a traditional Hungarian Chimney Cake recipe, and you'll learn about all the tricks and tips you must know to make it again at home! We make 3 Kürtőskalács, and we'll also bake them. Once they are ready, our guests can choose from different flavors to roll them into. Usually, the simple sugar, the coconut, and the cinnamon are available.
After the Chimney Cake workshop, you can also order a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy some of your kürtőskalács with it at the tables of the cutest chimney cake shop.
