The tour through the Blankeneser staircase district ("Treppenviertel") is a constant up and down through enchanted corridors and offers marvellous views. This neighbourhood is also known as the ‘Amalfi of the North’ thanks to its villas and allotment-style houses on the Elbe hillside.
The tour starts nearby the Blankenese ferry terminal at one of the most beautiful spots in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. The route is just over 4 kilometres long and can be completed in two to three hours, depending on your pace. However, it is worth allowing more time to enjoy the wonderful views and unique atmosphere in peace and quiet. Breaks are possible at any time to allow the impressions to sink in.
