The route begins at Maximiliansplatz, also known as ‘Maxplatz’ by the people of Bamberg, one of the largest and oldest squares in the city. The walk takes you through the picturesque alleyways, past highlights such as the imperial cathedral, the old Hofhaltung and the old town hall overlooking the Regnitz.
