In the heart of Provence, Avignon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful jewels in the south of France, with its exceptional historical center, and of course, its delicious Provençal cuisine and high-quality ingredients: aromatic herbs, tomatoes, olive oil, a good glass of Côte du Rhône and sun-ripened fruit.
Our gastronomic tour will bring you on a compelling walk in the medieval old town, from the sumptuous Palace of the Popes to the pretty Pont d'Avignon, showing you the culture and history of the city through its food served in beloved eateries.
We will visit at least four delicious shops and restaurants, tasting Rhône Valley wine and local specialties, such as the fougasse, the oils and tapenades, a hearthy dish cooked in a beloved restaurant, homemade cakes and other local sweets.
Your local food expert will show you the region and the culture, and you will have a chance to chat with the locals and satisfy your curiosity without language barriers!
