This tour is perfect to have an easy and fun day with an overall view of Champagne, around Reims and Épernay, with Champagne Pommery, Reims Cathedral, boutique winery and lovely villages in-between.
Starting from Reims, first a city-tour of Reims, home of Veuve Clicquot, Mümm and Taittinger. Then we stop at the Cathedral of Reims Notre Dame, where many kings of France were crowned. Followed by the Cellar Tour and Tasting of 1 glass of champagne Pommery, inside 2000 years old roman mines full of old and contemporary art.
Off to the vineyards to see the beautiful sights of the Marne River Valley and taste another glass of champagne, a visit to Dom Perignon’s tomb at Hautvillers. Lunch break at Épernay (with suggestions), where you can walk along the marvelous Avenue de Champagne.
Finish with a visit at a boutique champagne producer to learn about how Champagne is made, with a taste of 3 glasses of champagne.

Most Champagne Houses are handicap friendly, but not small producers that may have stairs into cellars. Please advise about handicap access.
The tour starts and finishes in Reims, never in Paris.
Please note that lunch is not included, nor train tickets.
Pickup at the train station Reims Centre at 9:30 AM, or at your Hotel in Reims (pickup time to be confirmed). If pickup point is more than 30 minutes from Reims, up to 1 hour, I can agree on an extra fee.
Trains from Paris to Reims run daily (not included). They can be as cheap as 40€ roundtrip. The optimal times are 8:28 AM from Paris Est station to Reims Centre (arriving at 9:14 AM), and 5:15 PM the way back from the same station (arriving at 6:00 PM in Paris). Use Trainline to book in advance. Be sure to leave your hotel in Paris early, with enough time to find your train platform at Paris Est.
