There are many villages in Luberon, I selected for you 2 of them: Gordes and Rousillon - the most incredible and unforgettable. You will have enough time to stroll and feel the atmosphere of Provence.
Gordes and Rousillon are really interesting because they have each its own style, own atmosphere, different architecture. This will be your post card day in the iconic Provence!

The road to Luberon is beautiful, you will see nice Provencal landscapes and Luberon mountains. We will stop in a very nice factory boutiques of lavender products.

Then, you will arrive to Gordes, very ancient village with old rock houses, amazing restaurants, beautiful boutiques with high quality local products. Gordes architecture is really protected and strolling there is just like the journey in the past. In Gordes you can find one of 27 "palaces" in France (higher level than 5*) - Airelles hotel & restaurant.

Our next stop is Rousillon. This ochre village is really amazing and stands out due to its colours : yellow, orange and red. While strolling around the pretty squares, you will join the top of the village with its panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. You will have free time for lunch in Rousillon.

To discover more about ochre there is a little trail, you can have a walk through an old open-pit ochre quarry. You will find there a lot of information signs about how the site was formed and explored. The place is amazing.

Believe me, there is no need to be everywhere in Luberon. Actually it's impossible :)
