Open your eyes to the Arctic! Arktikum Science Centre and Museum is an all year round destination and one of the must sees in Rovaniemi, Finland. Arktikum lets you experience northern nature, culture, and history up close. Also, it is a place where the mystery of the Northern Lights is revealed with an animation, facts and stories (science centre exhibition opens on Dec 6, 2024). That and so much more about the life in the North is explained in our exhibitions.
Please note that the science centre exhibition is under renovation until 5 December 2024. The Regional Museum of Lapland exhibitions, café, and shop are open as usual.
Alongside the exhibition visit, we recommend visiting our café. You’ll get to savour the colourful northern harvest in our lunch buffet and soak in arctic design on your coffee break. In Arktikum Shop you'll find authentic Lappish handicrafts and products that make great souvenirs.
