Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Addis Ababa and head to the Debrelibanos Monastery, 100 kilometers away. Founded by the 13th-century mystic St. Teklehaimanot, the monastery is an important site for Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity.
After visiting the monastery, stop at the Jemma River, one of the tributaries of the Nile. Walk down to the 17th-century Portuguese Bridge and admire the views of the surrounding valley and the waterfall.
