Choose this 7-hour tour to visit the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Private transfers with pickup and drop-off directly at your New York City accommodation are included for your convenience, so you can travel in comfort and avoid other tourists. Upon arrival in Philadelphia, you will meet a Local Guide who will take you on a private walking tour of the first World Heritage CIty in the United States.
Highlights of Philadelphia include the Historic Arch Street Meeting House, Fragments of Franklin Court and the First Bank of the United States. You will also see the Carpenters’ Hall, where the First Continental Congress was held in 1774. Throughout the tour, you will discover many interesting facts about U.S. history, covering the Colonial era, the American Revolution, the Battle of Germantown, the Siege of Fort Mifflin, and more.
Follow in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers and see the Liberty Hall and the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and signed. Learn about the establishment of the first independent government of the U.S. and the development of the principles of American-style democracy. See Liberty Bell, the symbol of American freedom, and hear the story behind the infamous crack in the bell. Please check your email the day before the tour to receive important information.
For the comfort of all guests, it is best to have 1 licensed guide per maximum of 25 guests. If there are 26-50 in your group, we will provide the service of 2 licensed guides so that all guests can get the best experience, ask questions and hear the guide well.
We will arrange private transfers in a standard car (sedan) for groups of 1-4 people, and in a large van for groups of 5 people and more. If you're traveling in a smaller group but want to travel in a more spacious car, we recommend booking a tour for 5 people to take advantage of the van transport.
The Christ Church Burial Ground is open by chance and for special and recurring events. It is closed January and February, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Admission fee is $5 per adult for a self-guided tour.
Lunch can be arranged upon request.
