Discover the historic highlights of the city of Luxor on a guided tour from Sahl Hasheesh or Makadi. Explore the Temple of Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Hatshepsut.
Your adventure starts in the early morning, typically between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. A cozy air-conditioned van will collect you from your place of stay in Sahl Hasheesh or Makadi.
The journey from Sahl Hasheesh or Makadi, to Luxor takes about 3 to 4 hours.
As you travel, you will go through Egypt's Eastern Desert and the agricultural areas surrounding the Nile Valley.
Following your hotel pickup, you'll travel to Luxor to explore some of Egypt's most iconic monuments, such as the Temple of Karnak.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a nearby restaurant, and then consider taking an optional felucca ride—a traditional Egyptian sailing boat—across the Nile River to the other side.
Check out the magnificent Colossi of Memnon, which are the remaining fragments of the Temple of Amenophis III.
Marvel at the stunning architecture of the Valley of the Kings and explore the temple of Hatshepsut, one of Ancient Egypt's female leaders.
After a day of discovering the historical wonders of Luxor, you will begin the journey back to Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi

The journey from Sahl Hasheesh or Makadi to Luxor is around 5 hours by minibus. It is recommended that you bring a book or prepare some music with you for the long ride.
