Sanctuary of Las Lajas the second wonder of Colombia and Otavalo the largest indigenous market in South America. Cuicocha and its lagoon in the middle of the crater. Great wonders of Colombia and Ecuador.
Leaving Quito towards the north of Ecuador our first stop will be the textile and handicraft market in Otavalo. We will visit San Antonio de Ibarra and its wood works, especially the religious art.
In the late afternoon we will visit the Sanctuary of Las Lajas to observe the festival of lights.
Returning to Ecuador we will visit the cemetery of Tulcan and its cypress art showing pre-Columbian figures and animals of the Ecuadorian fauna.
Cuicocha and its beautiful emerald lagoon and Cotacachi the leather goods town.
Return to Quito

We will drive at least 5 hours to get from Quito to Las Lajas and another 5 hours to return.
It is a two day tour.
We have to walk 10 minutes to get to the sanctuary on a steep road }.
It is suggested to take the cable car to return to the parking lot.
The tour could be affected by vehicular traffic, accidents, landslides and protests.
In Colombia we will use other transportation to get around.
In Colombia we can use dollars or change pesos.
It is not necessary to go through customs in Colombia to enter or leave the country.
Our tour guide will ask at the reception of the hotel or apartment.
If the tour starts from Quito airport, please send the flight information to monitor the arrival.
